Flatspot Longboards: Cult Classics
Cult Classics are just as tasty as they look. They come in a full spectrum of awesome colors, and are now available in 66mm!
Cult Classics were one of the very first wheels in the cult line-up. Its such a rad wheel that the cult classic has remained a staple ever since. All the different colour options that are available are the same 80a durometer. Which is rad, because with a consistent duro you can start to suss out some of the differences between the colours. For example, we’ve found that the yellow wear a big faster than the magenta and are slightly easier to initiate into a slide. But if you want a little more resistance the magenta are a good option. All of the cult wheels are poured with the MYSTOTHANE formula, which is arguably cults best freeride formula!
The Cult Classics are a sideset wheel. That means that the core is flush with the inner edge of the wheel. One of the benefits of a sideset wheel is that its very easy to initiate into a slide. The large outer lip is thick and provides enough support to be smooth in its slide.
The 66mm Cult Classics are a great option if your board has limited clearance. If you find you are getting wheelbite, like to ride your trucks loose, or have no wheel wells or cut-outs, this may be the better option for you. They wont last as long as their 70mm counterpart, but they will also be a lot easier to slide off the bat. They would also work really nicely for a tricky set up. If you are looking for a smooth slide AND light weight for ollies or other poppy tricks, these will be a blast.
