Highlights from the shop and longboarding in general. For this Flatspot Longboards Weekly we’ve got Skoa Trucks, New Madrid Team Members, some RAD Jimi Riha hype and a Freak Show!
Its not often that skaters have nice things. Usually we are broke, and our equipment is, or will be, totally destroyed. Maybe thats why Skoa Trucks are so awe inspiring. Before we talk about the technical aspects that make these trucks epic, lets just take a moment to appreciate how simply badass they look.
We also carry replacement Riot Cups or Skoa Trucks. Nothing is worse having janky precision trucks.
The video pick of the week is Matthew Deitchs Madrid welcome to the team edit. The silly amount of fallen leaves on the ground is something every east coast DH skater knows how to plow through at high speed. Matthew Deitch is no difference. As you can see for yourself, the east coast (sometimes known as the beast coast), has some absurdly good hills. You can go fast places other than California ya know!
Some very interesting hype got leaked to the public this week. Apparently R.A.D. wheels has been working on a Jimmy Riha pro model wheel. Knowing Jimmys’ style, your probably gonna be able to both get techy and go silly fast on these bad boys. Do we know what it looks like? Absolutely not. But we have full confidence its gonna be friggin epic.
Jimmy Riha is also the man behind Rad Train! Which is the the best hat company downhill longboard world has to offer. He has an impressively large amount of variation, from space to plaid to hawaiin, check it out yourlself!
Most of you should be painfully aware of the onslaught of christmas. Well, it turns out that there are a select few that know the true spirit of christmas. The creepy, painful and weird spirit that is. We are proud to say that we are supporting Neil E. Dees Creepy Christmas Freak Show.

Neil E. Dee also performs at Coast Longboarding Danger Bay every year. You should probably watch this video to get an idea just how gnarly he is. From breathing fire, to lying on beds of nails, to have money stapled to his body, Neil has no fear. Or regard for this physical integrity.
Lastly – to end off this weeks highlights. We just want to make sure you saw this video from Skatehouse Media. Its incredible. Dan Mullaney has literally blown our minds. We’ve never seen ANYONE shred a board that big, that fast, with such precision. THEN he does the run on a normal sized board and does the same absurdly fast run, SWITCH. I cannot stress it enough that Dan Mullaney is a beast and a boss. Find it on Skatehouse HERE.
