Long For Life – ALMOST THERE Reception
Michael Harrison is going to complete an utterly phenomenal journey this weekend, because once he arrives to Vancouver on friday, he only needs to push from Naniamo to Victoria, and he will have skated all across Canada. Long For Life was a result of Brandon Harrison’s passion for longboarding, and grew into something nation wide as he skated with his father, Michael, across Canada. On sept 7th a brain aneurisym caused Brandon to have a stroke, which he is currently recovering from and fighting with all he’s got.
We are honored that Michael is going to stop here and we want everyone to come out to show their support! The longboarding community knows how to stick together and there is no better time than now. So come down, throw in a donation for a sweet sticker, and lets give Michael the welcome he deserves from vancouver longboarders! Flatspot and Coast Longboarding want to show this inspiring man the warmest welcome possible.
We aren’t exactly sure when he’s going to get here on Friday, but it will be sometime after 3pm, and the celebration goes from when he gets here till whenever!
But its back to the road after friday, the goal is so close! Not so fast with that champagne bottle. Gnab yer pushing shoes and a bottle of water and finish off this long haul with a EPIC convoy. The more riders we can get on the road pushing the better!
