New Blue 77a 105mm Dad Bods from Orangatang

Dad Bods have gotten a little softer these days with the new Blue 77a 105mm Dad Bods from Orangatang! Taking the Dad Bod one step down from the Orange 80a they previously released, you can now get all the girth with a little more cushion. Check out the new updated wheel and get rolling on, over, or through just about anything that comes your way!

If you haven’t already tried the 80a 105mm Dad Bod, they aren’t going anywhere. Keeping in the scheme of things at Orangatang Wheels, they have a standard color pallet that matches a durometer: Yellow is 86a, Purple is 83a, Orange is 80a and Blue is 77a. The new Dad Bods are a step down from 80a to 77a to make things a little softer. We’ve tried the 80a orange dad Bods and had no complaints. The new TrypoCore and Traction Trench combine to reduce the weight of the large wheel while making the lip still pliable to keep it grippy and responsive. The lower durometer 77a will make this wheel a little slower overall, but will make the ride a bit more gentle and smooth.

Shape
The Dad Bod’s firm yet cush outer lip provides comfort and speed. Big wheels tend to be hard to control, so we developed our new Traction Trench technology on the inner lip for carefully tuned compliance, resulting in dependable control, grip, and comfort. The bearing seat is offset so the wheel can be flipped for narrower boards. The wide, smooth contact surface increases grip, and the rounded edges prevent catching on cracks.

– Wide core design with a deep valley-shaped cross section for efficient urethane damping and crisp handling
