All Praise the Church of Skatan!

You have likely already heard the news, but in case you didn’t. STRIKER IS OPENING A CHURCH/HOSTEL ON THE CABBOT TRAIL! COAST LONGBOARDING IS NOW BOTH COASTS!

This goes without saying, but we are gonna say it anyway. The downhill scene in British Colombia is thanks to Striker. Seems like a bold statement, but frankly its rather humble that he doesn’t attribute the vast majority of downhill in north america to his efforts. Coast Longboarding, the Cribb-Bomb, Danger Bay, Jakes Rash and all of Strikers efforts have created and inspired an immeasurable amount of stoke and community amongst downhill skaters. If you have had a chance to spend time with him than you will understand just how viral his passion is, like a disease that infects the craziest of us to do unspeakably stupid and amazing things. But its time for the next chapter. He is also a family man. To establish a home for his family, and to plant new seeds of downhill passion and coast stoke, he is moving to the cabbot trail! He has already scoped out the hills!

So keep your ear to the ground and your eyes peeled. There are gonna be some burly races going down in the maritimes! Flatspot Team rider Troy Grenier attended his cross country tour last year, and came back with stories of untold burly hills and never ending runs. The church will also operate as a hostel for traveling skaters and a museum for downhill skateboarding. But renovating an entire church isn’t easy, it isn’t cheap, and its especially hard when its as far away as humanly possible from your hometown. Its really a massive church!
