Pro Tribute Set Up – Brian Cotright Aka Chubbs
To stay true to his Texan roots, Chubbs goes big. Big slides, big mountains and big balls.
Brian Cotright, better known as Chubbs, hails from Texas but currently resides in sunny Santa Cruz. He is also a man of many talents. Not only does he skate like his prairie oysters are bigger than baseballs, but he can make you look good too. Meaning he is good with both a camera and a computer. From photos, to edits, and even event websites like the recent Bayou Battle, Chubbs can do it.
But lets focus on the gear. Chubbs rides for Bombsquad Longboards. Which is a rad company that also opperates a chop shop – making hotrods and other such big balled speed toys. They even make their own metal foot stop in house!
Chubbs also rides for Caliber Trucks, which are rad for going fast and/or sideways.
Venom Wheels recently released their new Cobra Core. Its the same Cannibals you know and love with a much fiercer and meaner core.
In all honesty we are not entirely sure which griptape or bearings he uses. But Mob Coarse and Bones Reds are just about some of the best on the market. So we figured that would do.

Last but not least is dave’s hippy oil. Apparently Chubbs was once quaranteened by the American Government because he grew his own strain of staff (unintentionally of course). One giants head freeride he told us all of his staff stories and it was hard to get close to him after that. . . . Anyway! Dave’s Hippy Oil is an amazing way to make sure that you don’t get afflicted by the staphylococcus.
