Apex Prototyping – Classic Backstop – Black 90a
The Apex Prototype Backstop is a new approach to the Torque Block idea. Both will help to increase leverage by creating a more ergonomic riding surface and encouraging you to shift your weight forward onto the front foot. However, the Backstop is designed to be more than just a single homogenous angle. Backstops incorporate a few angles and surfaces to help create essential pockets for your heel and toe like no other implant. Additionally, the Backstop is made out of 90a urethane that can be reused over and over without deteriorating like foam, whether you’re just regripping or changing your whole deck. Backstops can be mounted with bolts, glued down or Velcro’d to your board.

-Ceramic balls are lighter, stiffer, smoother and naturally corrosion resistant. This means we can use a lower viscosity lubricant which makes them fast right out of the tube.

This micro coating is 5 times the hardness of the host alloy and has a molecular bond with the host metal, filling in all the asperities and eliminating friction over time.
-The coefficient of friction is the lowest in the field of Tribology at 0.003% creating a near frictionless surface. Mainly because the nanoceramic compound eliminates all asperities.
-Corrosion on the inside of the bearing is nearly eliminated.Sold in sets of 8 bearings.
