Slappy Happy Techslide Tuesday
Techslide Tuesday has been jammed with faces new and old all summer long. As the days have gotten shorter, and colder, we have been stoked to still see some strong numbers joining us. Tuesday Techslide Session With Photographer Patricio Cartas
While Tuesday Techslide Sessions never died off in winter, the longer, dryer, warmer nights of spring have brought a resurgence of skaters out to the spot to have some fun. Sure we call it Techslide, but truely the session is open to soft and hard wheels and skaters of all age and skill level. A regular weekly session at the same spot makes for a reliable place for skaters to gather and meet to work on skills of all kinds, including some extremely talented locals who frequent the gathering. // read more

Sidewalk Skate Session: Chinatown DIY Kicker
Typically we only skate the closest and most obvious spots to our skateshop under the cover of darkness. Less pedestrians, cooler outside, and more time to generally lurk and skateboard versus hit it and quit it. Every now and then we get a little frisky on a Sunday night out front of the store. ChinatownYVR gets quiet after the daily hustle and Sunday nights shops tend to close a bit earlier. With some warm setting sunlight through the Downtown Vancouver high-rises, some of the Flatspot Longboard Shop team pulled out one of the DIY kickers onto the sidewalk and started a little impromptu skate session. // read more

North Vancouver City Fest 2017 Photo Recap
The 2017 North Vancouver City Fest was another epic year of fun in the sun with the youth of the North Shore!
This year we were out in full force as always and hosting the longboard race, our Learn to Stop Sessions, a new format Boarder-X course and some Dancing. We have worked with the youth of the North Shore all year to help plan this event and could not have done it without the incredible volunteers. We also could not have put on the event without the support of the City of North Vancouver, North Shore Neighborhood House, the North Shore Alliance Church and our sponsors, Cariboo Brewing, Predator Helmets, landyachtz Longboards, Sector 9 Canada and Skate Slate. // read more

Juke Jive Jam: Riki’s Bowl Jam Photos
Flatspot hosted our first ever, and hopefully not the last, Juke Jive Jam a few weeks back. We have so much appreciation and stoke for the artists that performed for the show and will be releasing more photos and video from the event soon!
